The redesign of the AMP6 Programme Controls processes covered revising the handbooks for Planning, Execution, Risk management, Change control, Reporting, Assurance and Document control processes. This was achieved by changing governance reporting, introducing the use of process maps, modified templates, upgrading Cost Management and reporting systems (ARES Prism and QlikView) and centralised Project Management Office (PMO) operations.
As a tier supplier to PWC we were commissioned to re-engineer Southern Water’s Target Operating Model in delivering their AMP7.
Various Programme Controls processes and contractual arrangements were developed to manage delivery of projects and programmes where the scope and needs were undefined and emerged throughout the AMP. This involved redesigning capital delivery processes to align to AMP7 Integrated Project Team (IPT) ways of working with the Delivery Partners and Operations. It also meant redesigning the Programme Controls processes to align with the new Asset Lifecycle Plan (ALP) with Risk & Value process and Investment Decision points.
