DADA attend the AI4 Nuclear workshop at the House of Lords

DADA attended the AI4 Nuclear workshop at the House of Lords on the 18th October, hosted by National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Here, we attended workshops on how to enable AI in the nuclear sector whilst still balancing regulatory concerns.

Thank you to the excellent facilitation by Dr Mark Bankhead, Chair of the AI4 Nuclear Steering Group as we reviewed the implications of the development of 2 nuclear AI regulatory sandbox pilots. Key challenge set was how to support innovation given that the fast pace of AI development means it is unlikely that AI-specific consensus standards for the nuclear domain will be available to support regulatory activities within the near future. So, how do we develop AI and innovation in the nuclear sector?
