Social Media Marketing Intern

This role will be employed by EDF Energy Ltd, however the post-holder for the attached role will be seconded to DADA Enterprises Ltd, SW1Y 5EA who is a member of the Sizewell C Consortium.

What will you do?

To provide content as a marketing channel using a whole mix of Digital Marketing channels including Social Marketing, Paid Search, SEO and Email Marketing to engage prospects and drive brand awareness.

Content & Social Media campaign promotion on LinkedIn platform; Optimising our WordPress website content and writing content; Creating engaging content pieces for clients across a range of verticals; Using Hunter and HubSpot to generate inbound leads; Using MailChimp to develop engaging email marketing campaigns; Online research and business development.

How will we support you?

EDF Energy Support

The placement holder will have access to a structured package of learning and development curated from the comprehensive range of existing EDF Energy resources.  EDF Energy has developed a set of resources specifically targeted for people in entry-level roles that is delivered through internal software platforms. These resources cover:

EDF Energy will also deliver a minimum of 50 hours of employability learning and development during the six-month placement. The expectation is that such training will be delivered on a weekly basis, ensuring that each week’s training is aligned to the stage of the placement. For example, during the first few weeks, training will focus on topics such as timekeeping, attendance and travelling to work and then to CV writing and interview skills as the placement progresses.

Learning will therefore take place via a combination of facilitated collective learning and self-study / peer-group development.

 DADA Enterprises Support

We will seek to provide this support towards the end of the young person’s placement, but earlier if it becomes appropriate to do so. 2 hours per week will be dedicated to finding employment post placement and helping to develop their CV.

We have existing staff in house who are experienced in the areas of staff development and training. They will be assigned to help the young person find work post placement and to help them develop the skills necessary to do so whilst on their placement.

Weekly meetings will be set up to discuss, document and monitor the progress of this support. This will be done with the young person and all those responsible for training present. A Learning and Development plan will be established.

The young person will be drafted into DADA Enterprises Ltd.’s current performance management system, Impraise, which is used as a performance and development tool-set (incl. 360, self-assessment, leadership reviews1:1s, OKRs, Real-time Feedback & more) to build a culture of continuous feedback. Within the platform, goals will be documented, and a performance plan will be established. Feedback can be provided both ways via Impraise.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

  • No essential skills experience or qualifications are required.
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications, and good communication and organisation skills, are both desirable for applicants or remote working environment.
  • Good literacy skills with minimum GCSE English & ICT (or equiv) at grade C or above

The contractual stuff:

  • Hourly rate of pay: National Minimum Wage applies to candidates 16-18, National Living Wage applies to candidates above 18
  • Working pattern and contracted hours: Office Working Hours 09:00 to 17:00
  • Number of working hours per week: 25
